I do wish the state to push back government interference in our lives. They seem to be in a take over mode which as history has shown in the past can be devastating to its citizens. They can’t even handle the government run programs they are involved with right now. I will not allow my choice for health insurance taken away from me. I enjoy the freedom of having the option of changing insurance coverage if I so choose. I will no longer have this choice since the only **CHOICE/OPTION** will be the government. I really can’t believe they are calling this choice or option other than to make you think you will have choices. Do not take my freedom from me – I so hope I have the American citizens behind me on this one.

jcsjcm, this resolution is the first step towards doing a lot of things - it's serving notice and demand to the federal government that it's exercising powers that the people didn't delegate to it. There's other steps that need to be taken to resist a national health program - and you can see what states like Florida and Arizona are doing in that direction at this link.

John - you're right, the declaration referred to un, not in alienable. Although, from my reading, in is used in the same way these days. Some great recommendations on how to get involved. After having read all of the posts herein, I am encouraged. One VERY IMPORTANT Correction I want to make:We have Unalienable Rights, NOT inalienable rights!!!! I too will fight if neccassary!!! Some of the small things we can do are: join emailing lists of organizations who send “action alerts”, so that it is easy to send messages to our elected officials!!!, I do. God bless all of you, & God belss America!!!
