Land of the Free? Absolutely Not.

Is the US Government the worst rights violator on earth?

Well they sure don’t think so!

According to mainstream media reports, one of Barack Obama’s White House spokesmen said this in response to the recent “free speech” trial in Russia:

“While we understand that the group’s behavior was offensive to some, we have serious concerns about the way these young women have been treated by the Russian judicial system.”

Ok, so let me get this straight.

The leadership of the country with the most people in prison -anywhere on Earth other than North Korea – is lecturing another country about their judicial system?

Barack Obama, who last winter signed the 2012 NDAA authorizing nothing less than government-sanctioned kidnapping, is in favor of fair trials?  Maybe so, when he even allows his enemies to get a trial.  In the United States, if someone did what the Russian protest musicians did, they could have been declared “terrorists,” and thrown in prison forever, without charge, without representation, without trial.

So who the hell is he to lecture anyone about how a judicial system treats human beings?

The Russian leadership is filled with criminals, and their judicial system is extremely corrupt.  Defense lawyers were barred from calling most of the witnesses they wanted, including experts and some eyewitnesses, even as prosecutors were allowed to call witnesses who had seen the Pussy Riot performance only on video.

But here in the “land of the free,” things are even worse.

Barack Obama’s attorneys, in a recent court hearing on the NDAA, once again refused to assure the court that indefinite detention powers have not been used by the US government – even after Judge Forrest’s injunction against it.

Is a show trial worse than no trial at all?  Absolutely not. At least a show trial allows the world to see the corruption.  In Barack Obama’s America the government people are so corrupt they prefer secrecy.  They claim the power to take you off the street without anyone ever knowing it.  Have things gotten that bad?  With this recent court refusal, you’ll never know for sure.

What we do know for sure is that they have no problem arresting people without trial – at all.  Even though he’ll eventually get one, Bradley Manning has been incarcerated for over two years without trial.  And just this week, Brandon Raub was arrested for facebook posts – and forcibly sent to a psychiatric hospital without due process or even an attorney.

With tens of thousands of drones set to start monitoring Americans’ every move, the TSA violating the 4th amendment on nearly 2 million people every single day, mass ammunition purchases by even the Social Security Administration – and much more – the American government is the height of criminality.

For Obama’s spokesman to lecture the Russian government is sad, sick joke.  That would be like John Gotti complaining about the crimes of Al Capone.

Look, I don’t trust these people.  Any of them.  They’re all criminals, in my opinion.  But, you know what?  It’s the American government which which might be the most dangerous in the world.

Join Us!

I don’t want them telling me what size my toilet should be or what kind of lightbulbs I can buy.  I don’t want them controlling my health care, my education, my retirement, or anything else.  I don’t want their taxes, or their inflation, or their funny money either.  I don’t want them to try to fix the environment or car companies so incompetent that they should be out of business.  I don’t want them sending guns to cartels across the border or to their so-called allies overseas either.  I don’t want them invading my neighborhood and shutting down businesses for selling a plant they don’t approve of or a type of milk they don’t like.   I don’t want them invading anyone at all.

Instead of violating rights at home and interfering with the lives and liberty of people around the rest of the world, the American government would serve a much better purpose to follow the Constitution – and butt the hell out.

Will it happen?  Without a completely different way of dealing with them – never.

Yes & sadly so many of us Americans are fooled by the ticket we have been given to try to defeat Obama.
Anyone that looks up Paul Ryans voting record shoud be very afraid. I have labled him “Mr. NDAA”.

A military tribunal is not a trial. Manning’s judge, jury and executioner all work for the same team. Without a jury of peers, and a fair process, you can’t call it a trial. It’s not even the circus that passes for civilian “justice.”

America may have the most people incarcerated because we are the most free people in the world and well…free people do a lot of stupid things. Should we decriminalize crime and if so, which crimes or like the police states with lower incarceration numbers, should we follow their example and intimidate them, beat them into submission or otherwise control their behavior?

As to the NDAA comment, I don’t think the Brandon Raub case is connected to the NDAA.  Raub’s case appears to be a State of Virginia action.  I suspect we have many states, similar to Virginia that have “temporary detention orders” or similar laws on their books intended to evaluate a citizen whose behavior or threats may be a danger to himself or others. What is most troubling in the case of Brandon Raub is the feds using the state law to detain a Virginian based on what they, not the state, thinks is troubling behavior in need of an intervention or a pro-active crime prevention order.  This case needs to be watched and followed closely.

As to Bradley Manning, he joined the military and is completely subject to their rules, especially in the realm of espionage.  I have no sympathy for him and his case needs to come to a conclusion like any other spy case.

@Hihoze What we need to do is simple : STOP wasting money & lives by incarcerating non-criminals !!

“America has the most incarcerated because we have the most free people” ? – What kind of dumb crap thing is that to say? Goof !

      • truelitistnot August 23, 2012 at 4:07 pm #

@RembyHirsch  @Hihoze …. Exactly!  Stop criminalizing everything.    Stop all the BS!  Stop supporting the military industrial complex, prison industrial complex, genetically modified food industrial complex, education rippoff industrial complex, police state, mercenary military for hire, etc.  Amerika is a freaking NAZI state with a vaudeville facade and candy popcorn coating.

Wake up or shut up America, because the rest of the world is sick to death of listening to you talking in your sleep.

    • truelitistnot August 23, 2012 at 3:59 pm #

@Hihoze Amerika is not a free country (not any longer), and, it certainly is no freer than many other countries.  To make matters even worse, the US has a constitution and bill of rights which many other more free countries do not have.  Yet, the US continually disobeys it’s own written constitution.  That, as a matter of fact, makes the situation even worse in the US.

We cannot be totaly isolationist even if it’s the best for America as far as money and the economy goes. However we can stop sending billions of dollars to terrorist nations and groups. WE CAN let Europe fall flat on their asses for building a totally socialistic union (bordering on communist) WE CAN stick to limited Government and the Constitution of the United States. Stick to the damned document that served our liberty and freedoms from the 1780′s through the 1970′s

  12. Monorprise August 23, 2012 at 4:02 pm #

I agree with Sandy, we really can’t be isolationist and the Washington does have the right to mess around  abround provided it does it by means of the Constitutionally allowed channels.  Declare war, Tax imports ect…

The real political question that Politicians in D.C. should be asking, & debating is what is in it for  us?  What do we get out of overthrowing the Iranian regime?  Is that “product” worth the cost to us?  Then declare war or do not declare war., but don’t just do it.  Follow the Constitutional channels to a T.

    • truelitistnot August 23, 2012 at 4:13 pm #

       @Monorprise I don’t take issue with what you said.  But here is how I see the scenario unfolding over the next decade or two;

Amerika becomes weak economically.  It loses prestige (is there any left?).  It loses respect (is there any left?).  Countries basically stop listening to and do what Amerika wants (already starting to happen).

Amerika ends up in isolation, but not because it choose to be isolationist.  Rather, everyone just got fed up of the big bully on the world stage and the bully is beaten and ignored by everyone else.

@truelitistnot  @Monorprise And then like in  reality the Bully wants revenge and joins the police force to exact revenge Like in clock work orange where the criminals realize being the police affords them the legitimate cover which being a thug does not afford.

Very insightful, and accurate article. Uncle Son of Sam has become the Global Bully, while having the audacity to preach about human rights, and humanitarian concerns about other regimes. Meanwhile the Lame Stream Media Presstitutes keeps up the razor thin veneer of illusion that the U.S. is “spreading democracy” while clearly democracy and the rule of law are no longer relevant in the Home of the Debt Slaves, and the Land of the Cowardly. It doesn’t matter if it’s Bush’s Depleted Uranium War on the Iraqi Citizens, or Obama’s Secret Drone  takeouts of even U.S. citizens without due process, or even if Obamney wins the next election; the United States is now primed for Universal Judgment by the Righteous Judge.

If given the option in 2016 could you support a Constitutional American Party? As a voter and given the option would you support a Party Platform that offered Constitutional restoration?

A sample of what a Party plank could contain.

Restoration of our free Republican form of government must be a primary mission. Our Constitutional freedoms and liberties shall be restored.

    Government of the peo
ple by the people shall be restored. Dissolve the UNITED STATES Corporation.

Dissolve all ties to Global Governance that is working to dissolve our national sovereignty and U.S. Constitution.

Restore the 10th Amendment powers to the States.
Balanced Federal, State and Local Budgets.

Constitutional amendment to reverse the 16th amendment, no citizen should be taxed on his labor income. Restore a true equal Tax system that will based on commerce and trade.

Trade agreements will be balanced and equal. Wealth redistribution by the use of foreign trade agreements will end.

All policy that affects the Bill of Rights will be placed on the ballot and a vote will be required.

Citizen duty to vote will become a mandate. A failure to vote will require civil service.

Open the books of the Central Bank (Federal Reserve).

End the Central bank of the Federal Reserve, only the United States Treasury shall print currency that shall be backed by gold, silver, platinum (tri-metal). A report on the State of the Union will be given each year to Congress and the People. This report will come from the United States Treasury Secretary.

Protect our boarders and stop the flow of illegals into America.
English shall be the required language of all who apply for citizenship.

Reverse and abolish the popular vote of Senators. Each State will select from its Congress its best legislators.

Abolish welfare. Institute workfare where every citizen contributes to the success of self and Nation.

Every citizen that is totally supported by the Federal government will be subject to drug testing. All Representatives of the people at every government level will be subjected to drug testing.

No free enterprise corporation shall Subsidized by the people without a vote of the people. There will be no “to big to fail”. Bussiness will suceed or fail on it’s merit. Government shall not create undo burdens on free enterprise.
