July 23 -Â Glenn Beck reports on Sarah Palin’s signing of Alaska House Joint Resolution 27, claiming sovereignty for the state under the 10th Amendment to the Constitution of the United States.
The resolution serves notice to the federal government that it should cease and desist any activities beyond the scope of their constitutionally-delegated powers.
Six other states have had both houses of their legislature pass such a resolution – Palin is the 2nd governor (with Bredesen of TN) to have signed one.

Gary,
Could not agree with you more. She, along with Tennessee are leading the way. I completely understand why she decided to step "up". Why be hobbled by left wing lawsuits, media setting out to destroy her, and not being able to speak her mind as a governor. She is now free to do what she does best, go out and say the things most of us have been waiting for in a "politician". She loves our country and is not ashamed of what our great land has accomplished. Sara knows that having a large, non-functioning, wasteful government will be allow demise. I think the American people are tired of ivy league leaders, leaders taking us at slightly different speeds to the same place, socialism. If Sara is ssooo stupid, why does the media even acknowledge her? Because they are terrified of her message and she doesn't seem the type to sell her soul for politics. Now if we could only find about, oh, six hundred or so for congress! :)
I am pretty sick of these liberal trolls who say Sarah "quit".
She didn't quit, she was in an unwinnable situation thanks to the stupid ethic laws that allowed a bunch of sick in the mind democrats harass her for wearing a coat in sub zero weather, or for being photographed holding a freakin' fish! I KID YOU NOT!
These loser democrat freaks have stolen over two million Alaskan tax payer dollars by forcing the state to investigate nonsense. Even better, they break the law every time they run to their buddies over at the Huffington Post and announce they've filed one! It's against the law. Of course, there is no penalty! If you do that against someone in the Alaska legislature, you "complaint" is automatically thrown out. No such provision for doing this against the governor!
Barack Obama is behind this stuff. We have written about it extensively. It started with the so-called troopergate investigation. Obama's campaign chief of staff, and now White House advisor, Pete Rouse, an Alaskan, who still votes absentee there, even though he has been a DC hack for decades, was buddies with state senator Kim Elton the one who was leading that witch hunt. When it was all over, Elton was paid off with a make-work job in the interior department. Chicago politics all the way.
This latest deal, where these fools are now going after her for actually defending herself from the complaints? The so-called "independent investigator" is Thomas Daniel, who works for Perkins-Coie. Perkins-Coie is Barack Obama's law firm!!!

As for quitting, nope, she's just answering the call. She will no longer be in the governor business. Instead, she will be in the kicking Obama in the teeth 24/7 business. There are going to be a whole lot of stupid democrats who are going to wish they had just left her alone to govern Alaska in peace! Sarah Palin is pissed off, and coming for their Dear Leader!
And Larry, I'm with ya! Perry did say if Obama tried to screw up health care that Texas would NOT participate! That's pretty strong.
Sarah will be in Texas. Perry asked her for an endorsement at the first of the year and she gave it. We gotta make sure that Hutchison does not win. She is horrible. Glad she'll get out of the Senate so we can get a conservative in there!
Way to go, Gov. Palin. Now all Texans need to put pressure on Gov. Rick Perry to get us out of the US debacle.
In 1861, Texas actually seceeded from the unlawful actions of the 1845 Texas Congressional actions that placed us within the US framework.
Maggie,
I don't think it is about one person's cause.
It is about what our constitution says; have you read the tenth amendment?
The federal government should not be so involved in the affairs of the individual states.
Is following The Constitution a party-line issue to you?
Glad to see that Quitter Sarah Palin spared some time for Your Cause.
She has even less credibility than Texas's own Governor Good Hair--who is frantically trying to gain attention as he faces his thrashing at the hands of Kay Bailey Hutchison....
Right on Governor Palin!
This Federal Government has over-reached it's Constitutional powers for far too long now!
I am very proud of the governors that our standing up for the states and our Constitution.
