There are health considerations that have been ignored as the so-called debate rages. Why do people smoke marijuana, is it a recreational activity? The answer will probably surprise some. Industrial pollution, herbicides, insecticides, and fungicides flood our air, our schools, and our homes. They affect us when we are most vulnerable in-vitro. These insidious chemicals destroy neurons and prevent new neurons from being formed; the damage is also passed genetically to our offspring. The resulting damage leads to behavioural problems. As it happens, Marijuana grows new neurons. Could it be that the much maligned Marijuana is doing society a great service, more research needs to be done to be sure.
