"Wake up you are the government" Well Robert, what have you done for us lately? Most of the laws in this country tend to benefit large corporations. They are also written by large corporations. Politicians pay for their campaigns from donations from large corporations. Large corporations receive substantial state sponsorship, e.g. the energy sector and insurance industry. Seems to me that if the government is comprised of a group of "people", it does not include me.

I agree in part and disagree in part, and because my comment length is limited, I resort to bullet points:

1) Monied interests do, in large part, control federal policy. But, to imply that doing so is easy ignores the vast amounts of time and capital spent to gain and maintain that control.

2) Libertarians are not "off their bearings." More than any group, I think libertarians recognize that the electorate is the sovereign.

3) The U.S. is not a democracy. It is a federal republic which is ostensibly controlled by a written Constitution. That not enough of the sovereign is interested or educated enough to do something about it is what drives the existence of the TAC, WikiLeaks, et al. We are, I think, attempting to heed Ben Franklin's warning about being "a republic, if [we] can keep it."

Very difficult to control government, obviously you are trapped in corporate public relations. It is easy to control Federal government corporations have been doing it for decades.
Where libertarians are well and truly off their bearings, is that the government is some separate entity, wake up, you are the government.
Corporations spend millions of dollars every year convincing the general public, that the government is bad, that you can't control the government, meanwhile the truth is for them the government is good, they control the government and via the government corporations control you.
The reality is, it is not the government that is too big, it us the corporations that are far too big and control far too much of lives all too our mutual detriment.
Simply fact any democratic has to be large, why because in a democracy we all have a voice and, we all have rights. The reality is small governments in democracy are only small because only a minority has a voice and only the minority has rights, the rest of the people are slaves to that government, exactly what the rich and greedy strive hard to maintain whilst deceitfully complaining about the government they have worked hard to create and keep in power.
