Texas Gov Rick Perry, as you know, announced that he was not going to accept the string laden extended unemployment bail out from Washington, and the USG was going to send it to the state legislature to to accept. Last week, I read that it had passed the State Senate and would be sent to the House. Below is a file saying “Texas qualified” on Apr 13, which corresponds almost to the day he first announced his refusal. Unemployed persons can apply Monday for the 2 weeks prior.

How can anyone possibly not see the rapid and dramatic increase of federal government control and regulation in the last few months. Just because one does not want to live in socialist country one is not racist. That is a cheap shot and a severely outdated argument. The government's answer to everything right now is to throw money and regulation to every facet of society. Good for you Gov. Perry! You have my support. Its time we stopped accepting that everything we have worked so hard for has to be erased overnight!!

Rick, that's a great example, thank you for sharing! This is just what the opponents of limited government resort to all the time - if you don't want the feds intruding in your personal life, your marriage choices, your economic choices, your personal freedoms, then you must be some kind of racist pig.

Do people still fall for this kind of garbage? I guess so. <a href="http://www.tenthamendmentcenter.com/2009/04/15/states-rights-hypocrites-emerge/" rel="nofollow">Paul Gottfried wrote an excellent response to this kind of thinking</a>...
