We ‘mericans’ love to blame everythin’, everybody for the mess we’re in as it keeps THEM from becomin’ the responsible citizen we all should be. Thomas Paine, my all time ‘fav’ to quote, once wrote: “The first job of a citizen is to keep his eye on his government”. We’ll folks WE didn’t. Boy can we keep up w/ our favorite TV shows & sports real well don’t we? ‘We the People’ are now sheep, some have called us a Nation of Sheep. Simply here to be fleeced & sheared. Hey, folks we ain’t got no wool no more. What’s next? A ‘police state’? Not to worry it’s HERE already. Oh, you missed it? But you didn’t miss ‘American Idol’, or ‘Dancing w/ the Stars’ or the ‘Super Bowl’, etc did you? We, that includes, me couldn’t be bothered w/ ‘politics’ could we? NOW it has come back to haunt us. We blame EVERYONE but ourselves. It’s time we, as a people, start lookin’ in the mirror. This ‘mess’ is on US as we forgot, not unusual for ‘mericans, to ‘keep an eye on his/her government’. It’s time we ALL looked in the mirror as the real danger to this country has been the person who stares back @ you. YOU! Me
