I am now tempted, since they are probably dropping, or have already dropped these models, to buy a 3100 or 5000. I am asking for comments from any of you who own one of these, as the price is right, discounted $150 or more from the original. Pros and cons? How about the Coolpix 500? Any shutter delay?

I think we need to start protesting this with marches if necessary now. I understand the senate is pushing forward on this issue and has included the biometric national ID card in the immigration reform. Please tell everyone you know who cares about this issue to contact their govenment officials to oppose the national ID requirement from being added into the immigration reform. If you never stood up for anything before, now's the time to stand.

Are you kidding? What Arizona is doing only helps push toward some kind of more intrusive ID. Rather the fight should be aimed at that which entices illegals into this country, such as them being able to receive from the fruit of our labors.

Personally I think arizona would’ve done better to pass a suite of laws nullifying various federal programs than their new immigration law….because the root of the problem is federal violations of the constitution.

But yes….nullification and interposition will be essential in years to come.

This article left me completely speechless. Wow. Talk about a sci-fi nightmare that becomes real. I thought we slayed this "national" ID card program with Maine, and now a Constitutional-mass of States nullifying that Real ID law. Thank God we have the Tea Party and a reawakening of interest in our Constitution and especially the 10th Amendment. I personally feel that nullification is going to have to be followed up by some REAL resistance… interposition (which will require real guts and determination).

Yet, with AZ passing this strong, common sense, illegal immigration law today, I'm hopeful that the States will eventually summon the guts to get in the federal's face and literally stare it down. As Thomas Jefferson said, "the States are not united on the principle of unlimited submission to their general Government".
