Let’s stay on point. The “dollar” in U.S. law is a specific quantity of silver. Period. It is not a coin. it is not a piece of paper, it is not an electronic signal over the internet. It is a unit of measure.

This is often confused with the constitutional limitation that “No State shall … make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts;..”

That is a dumb comment. If you paid attention, you would see the copyright information at the bottom of the article. this was originally printed over at the Mises institute and reposted here under a creative commons license. You can look that up and read about it. So, don't expect Mr. Rozeff to be running around the internet hoping to find someone commenting on his article. I mean, are you serious?
