There is a general failure in libertarianism and anarchism to distinguish between the "state", whic is always opposed by God as an unrighteous Babel to be overcome, and civil government (of the People, by the People, for the People) which is ordained by God. Organization and decision-making occurs at every level; there is no quick fix of simply abolishing something and all is Utopia. As Gary North says, "You cannot beat something with nothing." The Declaration and Constitution were a good historical start at enunciating "something" — decentralized, limited, and more local.

You need to review Ps. 94 (think of Germans under Hitler when you read "judgment will again be righteous") and Ps. 115: The LORD is in heaven (now reigning!) and the earth He has entrusted to us who are to pray Thy will be done.

The States are the place to fight now. But long-term, there has long been a strategy to stop and begin the turn around. Howard Phillips formed the U.S Taxpayers Party (as urged by historian Otto Scott, The Compass), now the Constitution Party. He notes that 1/3 plus 1 in the federal House would be a veto-proof minority sufficient to stop spending bills on any unConstitutional legislation. (If Newt Gingrich had not betrayed freshmen with the phony Contract With America some years ago, we were already on that track then).

I see what you are saying. Someone somewhere will have to get together and lay out a long term goal with objectives (such as eliminating a federal income tax) and then the next thing and the next thing until we reach the end.

You all remember the Wizard of Oz? Remember when Dorothy snatched back the curtain and saw that the all-powerful wizard was all smoke and mirrors? Do you remember the Real ID Act from a few years ago? Remember how many states said they wouldn't abide by it? Do you remember the Feds response to that? Yes, it is still "postponed", which means they don't know how to force it on us and don't want the confrontation. It is probable that the Feds simply no longer have the power or the means to enforce their will on millions of us and dozens of states if we just refuse to go along. They pull the strings of apparent power from behind their beltway curtain. What is their recourse? Bomb us into submission? Send in the army? Kick us out of the union? Occupy thousands of square miles peopled by an angry and non-compliant populace? Occupy with WHAT? Local authority? I think not. Can the Federal courts "force" millions of us to comply with laws and regulations and taxes and programs that the majority of us don't want? Can Congress do that? Can ANYTHING do these things if we simply refuse?

Why does everyone believe that freedom can be obtained with a government? Of course, you all think that we can build a "better" government than the one we have had. But isn't that exactly what our founders believed, too? And look what happened. This same tyrannical bullshit happens again and again with government throughout the world. That's because government is power. And when some have power over others, they abuse that power. No one on this planet should have any more power than anyone else. Period! If an organization, such as government, can force you to do something against your will, you are a slave. There's no other way to spin it. No cop, judge or politician should be able to tell me or you what to do, if we've done nothing to harm another individual or their property.

The big secret is that they need us. We don't need them. Withdraw your consent. Ignore government. Make the state insignificant. Stop being a scared little kid and abolish the state!

We don't need a government to protect us. We can take care of ourselves. The constitution is a dead letter. The only ones who have to obey it are us. Meanwhile, the politicians and bureaucrats can do whatever they want. And there's not a damn thing we can do about it. What we can do is to withdraw our consent. Ignore government. Make the state insignificant. Stop being a pussy and abolish the state!
