Health insurance companies have a lot of power when and for some reason the government hasn’t done a lot to stop them. From what I have seen from the health care reform is that president Obama wants to make it so insurance companies drop your coverage when you get sick which you do hear about and is shocking to know that could happen. He also want insurance companies to accept people with pre-excising conditions which is something good for the person who needs the insurance but with that will the insurance companies not offer high monthly charge to balance it out. These crooks need to learn a lesson. What we need to do is ban together and seek to recall these Senators who are pushing this unconstitutional health care tax on all of us. We need to show those that think they’re in power that the power rests with the people and that those who would abuse their seat will be held accountable. John, I like your perspective on this. The use of force and jailing people for not wanting to go along with every new program that they throw at us is clearly repugnant to the ideals of a free society.

Very nice article. I agree that EMR is the important in health care it has many benefits but putting people behind bars because they don`t bend to the willingness of govt is wrong way to go.

As distasteful as it might be, we need to enlist the aid of the socialists in opposing this provision. There reasons may be different from ours, but they will be opposed to any bill that enriches corporation at the public's expense. We need to show them that that is exactly what this is. We should seize the common ground and buy some time for more sensible reform strategies.

Yes. Obama campaigned opposed to this proposal, but is already equivocating and indicates now that he will not veto a bill featuring such a provision. Of course that's exactly what the insurance lobbyists, and thus Congress, have in mind.
