Being a victim of a pot addict and dealer who now resides Nampa, ID, I can assure you that the drug is not harmless. After he tried to kill me I needed out. As with alcohol there are happy pot heads and violent ones. He was drunk and stoned by 3:00pm daily and carrying a .38 semi-automatic. He lied on his gun permit and has a concealed weapon permit.

Are any of you medical user's, do any of you understand what the daily treatment involve's, or how much it takes to just get the medicine so you can see it that treatment is better for the condition than other drug's.

All drug's do damage to the body when abused or used for extended periods of time.

How do I know some of this, simply I have been involved in a Cannabis Treatment since 1998, and yes it is with Doctor's care and involvment.

There are many people across this nation that need medical help and sometime's a more organic and natural drug works best for their system and problem's, so it is a matter of standing up for your right's, or just set in your home and let the Govt. take them away slowly.

People are ready in every State, it is just a battle in each State among the people in that State (closed minded vs open minded)

You do display your Red Neck, before opening your mouth against something you should research it and understand all about it so you can voice your opinion about it.

from a Idahoian redneck that think's before speaking.

No state or government should prohibit what a doctor prescribes to you to get well.

Terry - you make an important point - thanks for adding that to the discussion.

There are, undoubtedly, two classes of people when it comes to taxation - the tax payers and the tax eaters. Personally, I prefer an elimination of the individual federal income tax altogether, because of this situation which it creates....but that might be best left for another thread.

I don't know about Idaho, but I'm damn sure ready for it to come to Oklahoma!!!

They grow it everywhere here, so they might as well legalize it and make tax revenue from it.

Somewhat off topic, and a minor quibble that I trust will not offend you.

"You, me, and everyone else in every other state" leaves the impression that every American pays taxes, which is not the case at all. Rather, it is you, me, and every other net taxpayer that is ultimately strapped with the bill. Liberals (including right-liberals) are fond of making the point that everyone pays taxes, "fair-minded" individuals that they are. But if a person is receiving more in benefits than he's paying in taxes, then for him it is simply inaccurate to say that he is a "taxpayer" by any stretch of the imagination. And we all know that we have a bunch of freeloaders on our hands who are far from being net taxpayers, the majority of which will most likely never be net taxpayers. You'd think such people would be more appreciative of the few that have been keeping them up. But, no, charity (particularly "government charity") rarely elicits appreciation in those its beneficiaries.

JMiller: "A good number of people have been devastated after learning that their use of medical marijuana excludes them as candidates for a much needed organ transplant.

Medical marijuana is still classified by medical transplant teams as “drug use”, a exclusion factor in transplant decisions."

It seems to me that if that policy is designed to give drug law breakers less priority in the transplant line, then they should rewrite the policy to not hold it against those who took it legally.

Michael: "Jeff, an important point, but it’s still missing something. If they don’t legalize it in Idaho and stay with the status quo (keeping it illegal), they remain on the federal dole - by requiring you, me, and everyone else in every other state to help pay for their decision.

If Idaho wants to arrest people for owning a plant - then they need to pay for it themselves. No dea, no federal involvement."

I agree with that. If Idaho wants it to remain illegal, it is their state right. What we all ould want is for them to just be able to do what they want, but without it being at our expense.
