Governors in both Wyoming and Arkansas this week signed bills known as the “Right to Try Act.” 7 states have now passed these laws that allow terminally-ill patients to use investigational drugs not permitted by the FDA.  Similar bills passed the Oklahoma House 96-0, and both houses in Montana and Mississippi.

In Arizona, a bill to block enforcement of any new federal gun control measure was passed by the state Senate, while a similar bill passed both Houses in Montana and is off to the Governor’s desk.

The New Hampshire House passed a bill to legalize hemp farming, essentially treating the plant like other agricultural products.

The Montana House passed also bill to restrict automated license plate readers, helping block a nationwide license plate tracking program operated by the federal government.

And the Arizona house had a big week, passing bills to ban a crucial Obamacare enforcement mechanism, Common Core implementation, and the use of resources to implement unilateral executive orders, federal agency rulemaking, and EPA control over intrastate waters.
