Hi, Rob. Joe Wolverton here. So pleased to see Pufendorf and Sidney getting some well-deserved publicity. I wrote an article on these two influences (as well as a couple of others). I've included the link here:

Is there such things as safe guards in language and thoughts and communications from a paper? Who authorizes which interpretation or was this duplicated as the original intent by whom?

Writing and references were often used to sway a direction and what direction was it? The direction we see today is expanded Governments so the results have expressed the truths. In the time of the federalists papers was an attempt to secure some idea and direct. But in its very existence was the constant threat of opposition constant. Actually today there is no difference only less resistance.

All may make claims of support but what is it they can show, since ideas can only be shown by the results of there placement or use, imagined ideas are simply imagined.

Many times when I delve into these writings I attempt to project or identify with the writer and where they were at that point and time, what was it they were actually looking at. But many times I find myself scratching my head attempting to get a real understanding versus some interpretation or my idea of it.

So far since my total findings in the Declaration of Independence and using this as the gauge of measurement in directions has a very clear picture began to emerge and now I ask myself if this is what they were looking at or was it some more corrupt or sinister?

Excellent piece Rob, thank you.
