You say, “Government is necessary because certain necessary functions can be performed no other way.” That may be so. But Murray Rothbard (and many others), were he alive, would certainly disagree. However, the statement, as it stands, should certainly be modified by the words, “State or local governments are necessary because . . .” I see no need for the Federal Government, at all. Absent Federal taxes which merely drain their strength, state governments are now populous enough and have enough resources to support and defend themselves. Not only that, but our individual state militias and National Guards would not be all over the world causing problems for millions. The world would be a much safer, more peaceful planet.

Article one sections two and nine says there are No Direct Taxes unless they are proportioned among the states. This was not changed by the 16th Amendment. Read all Supreme Court decisions on this. Therefore no one, including liberals, can change this short of an Amendment to the Constitution. These laws were made by Congress and are Constitutional. Krugman and all liberals should be aware of this! A law from Congress can not change The Constitution and the Supreme Court can not make law.

I find that one of the bellwether differences between me and liberals is their ability to actually listen to Krugman, no matter what the subject. The man is a walking anus. Nothing he has to say rises above the level of a common fart. If you look up “liberal self-important asshole” in any dictionary, you’ll find his picture.

Hell, he’s ugly too.

To lie and perpetuate even more lies in the corporate media is Krugman’s job. Why are you blasting him for checking off his government’s “honey-do-list” AS HE IS SUPPOSED TO DO?

For the rest of us that understand economics and the heart and soul as to why we have found ourselves in this predicament, we see Krugman as what he is. A mouthpiece of the global criminal elite.

@ Peter, I am not a Republican and the welfare state IS immoral because of the meaning and intent of the founders and American philosophy. I do not want to be associated as a (R) because they are more like (D) when it comes to actually governing. No offense but Partisan Politics SUCK.
