Tenth Amendment to the United States Constitution..

“ The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people. ”

While I was trying to get a meeting with Gov. Perry, they requested an "agenda." Well, with input from others, these were the issues that came up most often. If you can think of others, please let me know. We must get our Governor and his Attorney General to pass legislation and take the appropriate actions that protect and defend us from Washington. We must make the Washington bureacrats actions indefensible and a vioation of TEXAS LAWS. Texas should be leading this movement and legislation. Please unite with other groups across Texas and send this invitation. Share this with your other groups and Texas friends. Thank you.

Dear Gov. Perry,

I have sent emails and made phone calls to your office to: (a) request a meeting with you to discuss your position and the powers associated with your office, as Governor of Texas; (b) assist with your re-election; (c) obtain a schedule of your appearances, especially on April 15 at a Tax Day Tea Party event so we can attend and support you; and finally, (d) request action by you in your next term Governor of Texas.

I called your office today and spoke with a young man in your scheduling office. His response, and I quote, "I am just a state employee and I don't know anything." He is an employee working in YOUR office. Therefore, he is more than "just a state employee." He represents you to your constituents.

Texas patriots are requesting a meeting with you, at a time and location designated by you or your representative, to hear your views and to discuss with you the following topics/issues:

1. Immediate call for the Texas Volunteer Militia to: (a) assist our border patrol; (b) guard private property on our border with Mexico; and (c) protect Texans from any invasion.
Stop the influx of illegal immigrants into our country by way of Texas. If we covered the border for weeks, even months, word would get out to them and they would stop coming. Gradually, the number of militia could be reduced with an unspecified spike and reduction of the troops. It's time to take a stand on this, and I know that I and all Texans would gladly volunteer. The TX Volunteer Militia is exempt from federal mandates and CANNOT BE CALLED UP during a federal emergency. When can we expect to see such action or corresponding legislation?
2. State licensing NOT federal licensing for Class III weapons used by the Texas Volunteer Militia members. When can we expect to see such action or corresponding legislation?

3. Nullification: When can we expect to see such action or corresponding legislation?

4. What will you do to assert state's rights to protect Texans from unconstitutional acts and limit the ever-expanding role of the federal government in our everyday lives? When can we expect to see such action or corresponding legislation?

5. What will you do to prevent the potential increase in ancillary taxes (i.e., restaurant, income, social security, medical devices, etc.) being assessed to cover hellcare? Correspondingly, how do you plan to make Texas independent and self-sufficient, and not dependent on receipt of federal funds? When can we expect to see such action or corresponding legislation?

6. Please explain, step by step, an outline of what policies you will implement during your next term, should you be re-elected, abd how you intend to implement them. When can we expect to see such action or corresponding legislation?

7. Immediately call for an emergency meeting of the Texas Legislature to adopt the necessary legislation to protect Texans. We need for you to do this NOW! When can we expect to see such action or corresponding legislation?

8. Pass legislation that addresses intrastate versus interstate gun and ammunition manufacturing and sales.
Pass a law to exempt firearms made and used exclusively in Texas from federal firearms laws and regulations, similar to the legislation passed in Wyoming, Montana, Tennessee, and Utah. Similar legislation is being considered by Idaho and Alaska. When can we expect to see such action or corresponding legislation?
