If the third party can not put enough pressure on the established culture in DC there will be by then a partially formed youth brigade, gangs and of course the UN quick reaction force all ready to do the dirty work of trying to squash revolt. The communists are here to stay and they have made their grip on power already and tighten it daily. By 2012 there will be nothing resembling a free nation left.

Really the concept of a constitution is of a document which serves as a skeletal structure for the body politic.The Constitution is considered a Living Document because it has the flexibility to change over time

Liberals rightly figured out that a paper constitution only has power if the people in charge of its administration (judges) want to abide by its mandates. If those administrators don't, they can simply use their judicial offices to legislate from the bench as little kings.

It's time for the red states to immediately form a coalition/council and begin controlling the future direction of the country. All it would take is 10-15 of the most conservative states to set up this coalition. Once established, that powerful group of elected officials would lock arms and begin to call the shots on just about everything, asserting their state powers of course. Time for talk is over.

Despite the dire nature of our current reality, our founding fathers produced a document that has made our culture one of innovation, resilience and freedom. Tools such as nullification were provided to bring us back to the balance carefully designed 233 years ago, it is high time for us to use them.

This whole "living constitution' thing is just another way of saying the constitution means whatever I want it to mean, and that may be something entirely different tomorrow. In other words, Michael Boldin has it exactly right.

if they intended the constitution to be "flexible" there would not be an available but stringent amendment process.
